Pokémon TCG Live Adds Pitch Black Expansion With New Cards and Rewards
The latest Pokémon TCG Live update has officially arrived, bringing the new Pitch Black expansion to mobile and PC alongside its physical trading card release. Headlined by Mega Darkrai ex, the expansion introduces 115 new collectible cards, fresh cosmetic rewards, quality-of-life improvements, and a brand-new Battle Pass. Players can also redeem digital booster packs using the code cards included inside physical Pitch Black products, making it easier than ever to enjoy both versions of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Pokémon TCG Live Launches Pitch Black Expansion
The Pokémon TCG Live update celebrates the launch of the Pitch Black expansion with a variety of new content. Players who log in receive a free Mega Darkrai ex deck, along with three interactive lessons that introduce the newest cards and mechanics. Additionally, the game’s battle board now features a Darkrai-inspired visual theme that matches the expansion’s darker atmosphere.
Overall, the Pitch Black expansion adds 115 new cards to collect, giving players plenty of opportunities to strengthen existing decks or experiment with entirely new strategies. Furthermore, every physical Pitch Black booster pack includes a redeemable code that unlocks digital content in Pokémon TCG Live.
Battle Pass and Deck Builder Receive Major Improvements
Besides new cards, Pokémon TCG Live also introduces several useful gameplay improvements. The updated Deck Editor now includes rarity and regulation filters, making deck construction much faster and easier. Players can also use a new deck validity checker to confirm whether their decks meet the rules for different game modes before entering battles.
Meanwhile, the latest Battle Pass offers additional rewards throughout the season. Players can unlock a Mega Chandelure ex deck, while the in-game shop now features exclusive cosmetics such as the Mega Chandelure hat and shirt. In addition, players can earn new Pitch Black-themed accessories and compete for seasonal rewards, including the new Master Ball rank.

The latest update also resets the ranked season, giving everyone a fresh opportunity to climb the competitive ladder. At the same time, the developers have confirmed that more in-game events connected to the Pitch Black expansion will arrive soon. Small interface improvements, including highlighted card selections inside the Deck Collection and Deck Panel, also make navigation smoother than before.
