PTA Q4 2025 Report Highlights Network Performance
The PTA Q4 2025 report reveals mixed results for mobile operators across Pakistan. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority released the data with Opensignal. It covers performance from October 1 to December 29, 2025. Researchers collected over 1.25 billion real-user measurements. They gathered data from 161 districts nationwide. Therefore, the findings reflect everyday user experience. The study reviewed five key metrics. These include download speed, upload speed, video experience, gaming experience, and time on network. Nationally, average download speed reached 18.60 Mbps. High-end devices recorded 30.80 Mbps. Meanwhile, upload speed averaged 5.59 Mbps. Users stayed connected 93.64% of the time overall. Video experience scored 44.44 out of 100. Gaming experience averaged 40.26.
Zong, Jazz and Ufone Dominate Key Categories
According to the PTA Q4 2025 report, Zong 4G led national download and upload speeds. It recorded 18.24 Mbps download and 7.09 Mbps upload. Jazz followed closely in both categories. Telenor ranked lowest for speed performance. It recorded 6.55 Mbps download and 2.27 Mbps upload. At the city level, competition remained intense. Jazz topped download speeds in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Faisalabad. However, Zong led in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Hyderabad, and Gujranwala. Quetta recorded 20.61 Mbps with Jazz. Multan reached 20.63 Mbps with Zong. For gamers, Ufone stood out clearly.
It ranked first in nine of ten cities. Zong secured the top gaming spot only in Lahore. When it comes to availability, Zong dominated nationwide. Users stayed connected 96.47% of the time on average. In Lahore, availability reached 97.82%. PTA noted that the data reflects real-world usage. As a result, it shows actual consumer experience rather than lab testing.
