PUBG Launches PAYDAY Heist Mode Until June 10
PUBG: Battlegrounds has officially launched its brand-new PAYDAY collaboration mode, bringing tactical heist gameplay into the popular battle royale experience for a limited time. Publisher KRAFTON partnered with Starbreeze Entertainment to introduce the crossover event, which is now live on PC and will soon arrive on consoles as part of Update 41.2. The event runs until June 10 and completely changes PUBG’s traditional gameplay structure.
Instead of focusing purely on survival and shrinking zones, the PAYDAY mode pushes players toward coordinated robberies, strategic planning, and team-based combat. Players now work together to complete high-risk missions while escaping heavily defended urban locations under intense pressure.
The crossover also introduces an original song titled “Baby Driver” by 070 Shake, created specifically for the PAYDAY event. PUBG continues strengthening its collaborations with music artists, and this latest partnership adds cinematic energy to the new gameplay mode.
PUBG PAYDAY Mode Adds Tactical Team Gameplay
The new PAYDAY mode allows players to select from five unique classes: Assault, Medic, Tank, Marksman, and Ghost. Each class supports different team strategies and encourages players to coordinate carefully during missions. Teams can choose stealth-based approaches or shift toward direct combat whenever situations become chaotic.
The event includes several urban maps such as The Exchange, Diamond District, Nightclub, and Road Rage. Every environment offers different mission objectives involving vaults, sensitive data, and large cash extractions. Players must complete objectives while surviving enemy encounters and planning safe escapes.
KRAFTON designed the mode to feel cinematic while still maintaining PUBG’s core shooting mechanics. The official trailer highlights tense firefights, coordinated assaults, and dramatic heist escapes through crowded city streets.
PUBG Continues Expanding Through Major Collaborations
PUBG has increasingly embraced crossover events to keep gameplay fresh for long-time players. The PAYDAY partnership introduces an entirely different style of gameplay compared to standard battle royale matches, helping PUBG diversify its multiplayer experience.
The collaboration also highlights PUBG’s growing focus on seasonal live-service events that bring new mechanics, themed cosmetics, and temporary modes into the game. By introducing cooperative objectives and class-based teamwork, the PAYDAY mode offers players a fresh reason to return before the event concludes in June.
PUBG: Battlegrounds remains available as a free-to-play title on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 consoles, with crossplay support available between console platforms.
