Punjab Announces Scholarships and Free Laptops for Students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the Hunarmand (Merit) Scholarship and Laptop Scheme Phase-II on Tuesday. The initiative brings hope and opportunities for students across Pakistan.

Scholarships and Laptops for Students

At the ceremony, she announced a big package for the youth. The government will award 80,000 scholarships next year. In addition, 118,000 Core i7 laptops will go to hardworking and deserving students.
Maryam Nawaz made one thing clear. Merit will remain the only standard for selection. This ensures fairness and equal chances for all students. As a result, young learners can trust the system and focus on their studies.

Empowering Students Nationwide

The chief minister also shared that students from all provinces will benefit. This includes learners from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Therefore, the scheme promotes unity and equal opportunity across the nation.
She emphasized that the program is about empowerment, not politics. Education, she noted, opens doors to progress and growth. For example, scholarships reduce financial stress, while laptops help students connect to modern learning tools.
This initiative reflects the government’s vision of an inclusive future. By supporting students on merit, it encourages talent and hard work. In addition, it helps create a stronger, more skilled workforce.
For many families, this scheme is more than support. It is a lifeline that makes higher education possible. The combination of scholarships and technology can transform learning experiences.
Maryam Nawaz assured that the program will continue to expand. She said youth are the real strength of Pakistan. Therefore, investing in them is an investment in the country’s bright future.
