Punjab Makes School Safety App Mandatory in Public and Private Schools

Punjab Makes School Safety App Mandatory in Public and Private Schools

The School Education Department has made the Punjab school safety app mandatory for all public and private schools in Punjab. Officials issued strict instructions for immediate installation and registration. As a result, schools must comply without delay.
The policy applies to A, A-plus, and B category schools across the province. In addition, school heads and teachers must complete their registration within the given deadline. The department aims to strengthen security and improve monitoring in educational institutions.

Strict Orders for Immediate Compliance

The department observed that several schools have not installed the app yet. Therefore, it raised concern over slow implementation. District Education Officers (DEOs) now oversee compliance in their respective areas.
Officials directed DEOs to ensure immediate action. They also instructed school heads to inform all teaching staff about the requirement. As a result, authorities expect faster implementation across the province.
The department warned that it will take strict action against schools and individuals who ignore the orders. Moreover, it stressed that no delay will be tolerated in the process.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Wing will supervise the entire rollout. It will track app installation and staff registration. In addition, it will submit regular progress reports to senior officials.

Focus on School Safety and Monitoring

Authorities said the Punjab school safety app will improve communication and emergency response in schools. Therefore, it will help create a safer environment for students and staff.
Officials emphasized that they want full compliance to ensure effective monitoring. However, they also urged schools to act quickly to avoid penalties.
Overall, the initiative aims to strengthen safety systems in schools across Punjab. In addition, it promotes accountability and better coordination between education officials and institutions.
