Quranic Education Highlighted at International Qirat Event in Islamabad

Islamabad hosted a remarkable Quranic education event on Friday. Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said the younger generation needs strong guidance. He added that spreading the Quran’s true message can reduce intolerance in society.
He spoke at a dinner held in honour of Qaris participating in the International Qirat Competition. Senator Talha Mehmood hosted the event. The minister joined as the chief guest and warmly welcomed all participants.
Nearly 40 countries took part in the competition. The minister described this as a proud moment for Pakistan. He noted that hosting such a gathering during challenging times showed resilience and gratitude.

Leaders Emphasize Learning and Unity

Sardar Yousuf shared that the competition received special support from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir. He also commended the team behind the event. According to him, their coordination and dedication ensured its success. He especially praised chief coordinator Qari Sadaqar for his efforts.
He said national-level activities like this create a positive and hopeful atmosphere. They also encourage communities to value learning and unity.
Senator Talha Mehmood addressed the gathering as well. He said he felt proud of his family’s religious background. He highlighted that the teachings of the Quran guide people toward progress and purpose.
Professor Sajjad Qamar encouraged expanding Qirat education across the country. He also stressed the need to promote Arabic learning. According to him, teaching the language can help students understand the Quran more deeply.
