Regional Destinations: Balochistan Allocates Rs 285 Million for Infrastructure

The provincial government of Balochistan has officially designated Rs 285 million for the development and promotion of the region’s tourism and cultural sectors. Announcing the fiscal plans during his formal budget speech, Balochistan Finance Minister Shoaib Nosherwani emphasized that the territory is rich in regional destinations and ancient historical tapestries. The targeted fund represents a highly structured effort to modernize regional public relations and preserve local traditions

Financing Local Heritage Sites

For the first time in the province’s history, a dedicated Rs 85 million tranche has been explicitly set aside for localized musical preservation, cultural heritage initiatives, and the Khuzdar Festival. These targeted financial injections are designed to revive historic cultural events and uplift local artisans who maintain indigenous storytelling methods. Furthermore, a significant portion of these funds will support modern V-logging and digital content creation campaigns to showcase Balochistan’s rugged, untouched landscapes to global audiences.

Upgrading Capital Tourism Corridors

Simultaneously, the provincial government has allocated Rs 250 million to bolster tourism and cultural activities within the provincial capital of Quetta. This funding will build stronger community spaces, upgrade visitor amenities, and secure structural protection for vulnerable urban heritage centers. Ultimately, balancing this development plan alongside a robust Rs 1.81 billion non-development allocation ensures that the area establishes a resilient, community-backed framework to drive economic growth.
