Rematch has launched its third major update, delivering crossplay, new battle pass rewards, and a player reporting system after a short two-day delay. Released in June 2025, the innovative soccer title has quickly built a reputation for its skill-based mechanics and unique third-person approach to the sport.
Crossplay now allows players across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC to team up, though cross-progression is not yet supported. Sloclap, the game’s developer, also introduced a reporting feature to crack down on misconduct and expanded endgame battle pass rewards with five new unlocks for dedicated players.
Gameplay tweaks focus on refining the Extra Effort stamina mechanic, camera lock settings for controllers, and ball control animations. Several inconsistencies tied to tackling, goalkeeping, and dribbling were patched, alongside stability fixes across reconnects and custom matches. Accessibility options—including colorblind support—were also added.
Despite improvements, Xbox players continue to report achievement issues, which Sloclap promises to fix in mid-September alongside Season 1 content. That update is also expected to bring further optimizations and rewards.
With its growing player base and constant live-service updates, Rematch is positioning itself as one of the strongest sports game debuts of 2025.
