SAND Raiders Of Sophie Launches Into Steam Early Access
tinyBuild and developers Hologryph and TowerHaus have officially launched SAND: Raiders of Sophie in Steam Early Access. The dieselpunk multiplayer extraction shooter introduces customizable mechs, large-scale desert exploration, and high-stakes PvP and PvE gameplay.
SAND Brings A New Twist To Extraction Shooters
Set on the ruined planet Sophie, SAND takes place in an alternate-history world where an ecological disaster has evaporated the oceans. Survivors now travel across vast deserts inside giant mechanical walkers known as Tramplers.
Players can venture alone or with friends as they scavenge abandoned cities, shipwrecks, and ruins for valuable loot. Unlike many survival games, SAND removes the threat of offline raids, allowing players to keep their Trampler between sessions.
Two Distinct Game Modes Are Available
The Early Access launch includes two major modes. Voyage Mode allows players to explore the desert at their own pace, gather resources, and play cooperatively without time pressure.
For those seeking a more intense experience, Storm Dive Mode introduces a shrinking map, stronger enemies, and higher-tier loot. As the storm closes in, players must decide whether to continue searching for rewards or head for extraction before it is too late.
SAND Focuses On Customization And Team Play
One of the game’s standout features is the Trampler Editor, which lets players build their own mech fortress. Some may prefer a small, agile design, while others can create heavily armed behemoths capable of surviving major assaults.
The game supports both solo play and cooperative expeditions, giving players flexibility in how they approach each raid. Whether negotiating with rivals, fighting hostile scavengers, or confronting mysterious supernatural threats, every encounter carries meaningful risk. SAND: Raiders of Sophie is available now on Steam in Early Access with a special launch discount for a limited time.
