State of Freedom Report Pakistan 2026 to be launched in Islamabad at ISSI

Pakistan will launch its first-ever freedom report Pakistan 2026 in Islamabad on Monday. The report release will take place at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). The event will highlight a national review of political, civil, and economic freedoms.

National Framework for Measuring Freedom

The State of Freedom Report Pakistan 2026 introduces a comprehensive assessment of freedom in the country. It covers civil, political, economic, digital, legal, and social dimensions. The report uses public surveys, institutional data, and national indicators to build a clear framework.
Mishal Pakistan developed the report in collaboration with global partners. The organization works with the New Economy and Societies Platforms at the World Economic Forum. Therefore, the report links local data with global research standards.
The study explores key areas such as constitutional rights, access to justice, and media freedom. In addition, it examines digital access, economic opportunities, and social inclusion. It also measures public trust in institutions across Pakistan.

Dialogue on Governance and Citizen Rights

The launch event will bring together policymakers, diplomats, academics, and civil society leaders. They will review findings and discuss their impact on governance and institutional reform.
Organizers said the report aims to create a national baseline for measuring freedom over time. As a result, it will help track progress in rights and inclusion across different sectors. It will also support evidence-based policy discussions in the future.
Experts believe the report will encourage informed debate on democratic resilience. However, they also stress the need for continuous updates to reflect changing conditions. In addition, the findings may help improve transparency and public trust in institutions.
With this launch, Pakistan moves toward a structured way of measuring and understanding freedom in everyday life.
