The Duskbloods Locks In 2026 Release Window On Nintendo Switch 2

The Duskbloods Locks In 2026 Release Window On Nintendo Switch 2

FromSoftware’s upcoming dark fantasy RPG The Duskbloods officially remains scheduled for a 2026 release on Nintendo Switch 2. The game immediately attracted Bloodborne fans because of its gothic atmosphere, dark environments, and vampire-inspired combat style.
Many players feared the game had been delayed because FromSoftware has not shown gameplay footage yet. However, Kadokawa’s latest financial report confirmed that The Duskbloods is still targeting a 2026 launch alongside Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition.

The Duskbloods Draws Strong Bloodborne Comparisons

The Duskbloods shares several similarities with Bloodborne. The reveal trailer featured gothic cities, cursed enemies, and aggressive combat that reminded players of Yharnam. Many fans even believed the first trailer teased Bloodborne 2 before the game’s title appeared.
Players control a Bloodsworn, a powerful warrior fighting through a dark world filled with rival factions and supernatural threats. The game also includes PvPvE mechanics, allowing players to battle enemies and rival players in dangerous environments.
Some fans remain cautious about the multiplayer focus. Others are excited to see FromSoftware experiment with a different gameplay structure while keeping its signature dark fantasy style.

Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive Release Confirmed

The Duskbloods is one of FromSoftware’s rare platform-exclusive projects. The game currently remains exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, making it the studio’s first Nintendo-exclusive title since Lost Kingdoms II in 2003.
Because the release window is now officially confirmed, many players expect the game to appear during Nintendo’s next Direct showcase. Fans are hoping for gameplay footage and an official release date announcement later this year.
