TikTok Shared Collections: A New Social Way to Stay Organized

TikTok just introduced TikTok Shared Collections, a feature that helps people organize and share content in one space. It builds on the app’s earlier Collections tool, which already lets users save videos in custom folders. Now, TikTok is making the experience more social.
You can use Shared Collections to plan events or gather ideas for holidays. For example, families can save recipes, gift ideas, or home décor inspiration. Friends can also build folders for hobbies or creative projects. As a result, staying organized on TikTok becomes easier and more fun.

How Shared Collections and Shared Feeds Work

Shared Collections only work when both users follow each other. You can keep them private or make them public. In addition, TikTok is rolling out the feature globally for people aged 16 and older.
TikTok also teased Shared Feeds, which arrive in the coming months. These feeds will let two users watch videos together in a customized stream. The app will generate a daily set of 15 videos based on shared interests, such as sports, travel, or seasonal content.
You can create a Shared Feed by sending someone an invite through direct messages. Once both users accept, they can watch videos, react, and chat about what they see. After finishing the daily videos, they can check shared metrics, including clips they both liked. This setup encourages meaningful interactions instead of endless scrolling.
TikTok is also adding greeting cards. Users can write a message in chats and send a card with animated designs. Therefore, connections on the app now feel more personal and festive.
