Toy Story Retro Roundup & Toy Story 3 Remaster Launch in October
Atari and Digital Eclipse have teamed up to celebrate 30 years of Disney Pixar’s Toy Story franchise with two major game releases arriving this October. The first is Toy Story: Retro Roundup, a collection of classic Toy Story titles from the 1990s and early 2000s. The second is Toy Story 3: Complete Edition, a modern remaster of the original game featuring upgraded visuals, improved performance, and additional previously exclusive content.
Both releases aim to combine nostalgia with modern enhancements, allowing players to revisit iconic Toy Story adventures in a polished format. With a shared launch date of October 15, the collection will be available across major consoles and PC, with select physical editions planned for PlayStation and Nintendo platforms.
Toy Story Retro Roundup Brings Classic Games Together
It brings together several legacy titles including Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, Toy Story Racer, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and A Bug’s Life. These games originally launched across multiple platforms, and this collection makes them more accessible for modern audiences in a single package.
In addition to the games themselves, the collection includes archival extras such as developer interviews, concept art, and behind-the-scenes featurettes. This added content gives players a deeper look into the history of Toy Story video game adaptations and enhances the overall value of the Retro Roundup release.
Toy Story 3 Complete Edition Gets Modern Enhancements
Toy Story 3: Complete Edition is a remastered version of the original game, upgraded by Digital Eclipse with higher resolution visuals, smoother performance, and expanded content. It also includes previously platform-exclusive features, bringing them together into a unified modern release.
The game features multiple modes including Story Mode and Toy Box Mode, along with local co-op support and character-switching gameplay. Players can experience upgraded visuals or switch back to the original presentation, offering both modern polish and nostalgic authenticity within Toy Story Retro Roundup’s broader celebration.
