Wego Launches in Pakistan with Payments in Local Currency, Airline Partnerships & 24/7 Support

K00074-1

Wego, one of the leading travel apps and the largest online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has officially expanded its presence in Pakistan. The move is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in high-growth emerging markets.
As travel demand continues to rise across the country, Wego aims to make it easier for Pakistanis to access affordable and convenient travel options. The app will now support bookings in Pakistani Rupees (PKR), removing concerns about fluctuating exchange rates and hidden fees. This feature, combined with localized deals, is designed to provide greater value to travelers.
To further support the market, Wego has partnered with top Pakistani airlines including AirBlue, AirSial, Fly Jinnah, PIA, and Serene Air. Along with its global airline and hotel partners, the platform will offer everything from budget-friendly tickets to premium experiences. Transparent fares, schedules, and amenities will help travelers make smarter, quicker decisions.
The company is also introducing a dedicated Pakistan-based customer support line, available 24/7. This ensures that users have access to immediate assistance, making travel planning and booking more reliable.
Dean Wicks, Chief Flights Officer at Wego, said: “Pakistan represents a rapidly expanding travel market, fueled by a youthful and energetic population with a strong appetite for both domestic and international journeys. Acknowledging that online transactions and connectivity can occasionally pose challenges, we are proud to announce the launch of our first consumer-direct outlet in Lahore to provide travelers with added convenience and support.”
Ross Veitch, CEO & Co-founder of Wego, added: “Wego has operated an R&D center in Lahore for several years, and beyond being a valuable source of developer talent, Pakistan is also becoming an increasingly important market for us. We see strong potential to grow by making it easier for Pakistani travelers to plan and book their trips through Wego.”
This expansion comes as Pakistan’s aviation sector gains momentum, with new routes, expanded capacity, and fresh international connections across major cities. Wego aims to leverage these opportunities and become the go-to travel platform for Pakistani users.
