Windows 11 Bug Freezes Mouse and Keyboard

Windows 11 Bug Freezes Mouse and Keyboard

Many Windows 11 users are reporting a frustrating issue — their mouse and keyboard suddenly stop working. This Windows 11 bug appears after recent system updates and can make the device completely unresponsive.
The problem often occurs right after startup or during login. Users have noted that even wireless peripherals disconnect, leaving them stuck on the lock screen. In some cases, the bug also affects touchpads and Bluetooth devices.

Why It Happens and What You Can Do

According to tech experts, the issue may stem from faulty drivers or corrupted update files. In addition, certain antivirus programs and third-party utilities can interfere with input devices after a Windows patch.
To fix it, restart your PC in Safe Mode and uninstall the latest update. You can also reconnect your peripherals using another USB port. Updating or rolling back drivers through Device Manager often restores functionality.
If these methods fail, performing a System Restore can revert Windows to a stable version. Microsoft has acknowledged the bug and is working on an official patch. Therefore, it’s wise to pause updates until a fix is released.
While this problem is alarming, the solutions are straightforward once identified. Staying cautious with updates and keeping drivers current can help prevent it from returning.
