YouTube is introducing several new features aimed at enhancing interaction between creators and fans, while also increasing monetization opportunities.
1. Easier Sharing of Community Posts
- YouTube now allows social sharing of Community updates, enabling creators to link directly to specific posts.
- This could help increase visibility and engagement for creators using the Community tab, which acts like a social feed for YouTube channels.
2. New Interactive Gifts via “Jewels”
- Viewers can buy Jewels in the app to purchase interactive stickers that appear during live streams.
- These effects appear on screen for 8–15 seconds and aim to make donating more fun and eye-catching.
- Stickers with new effects will be marked with a purple sparkle icon in the gift picker.
- Available now for all eligible U.S. channels
