Summer vacation Sindh schools 2026 announced from June 1 to July 31
The summer vacation Sindh schools schedule is now official. The Sindh government announced holidays from June 1 to July 31, 2026. The decision applies to all public and private schools across the province. As a result, students will enjoy a two-month break during peak summer heat.
Official Schedule and School Closure
The Sindh education department issued a formal notification for the academic session 2026-27. It confirmed that all schools under the School Education and Literacy Department will close during this period. Therefore, all institutions must follow the same timetable without exception.
Authorities said they designed the schedule to protect students from extreme weather. In addition, rising temperatures across Sindh influenced the decision. Schools will reopen after July 31 under the updated academic plan.
The announcement also brings clarity for parents and teachers. It helps families plan travel, tuition, and academic activities in advance. However, schools must still complete pending academic work before the break begins.
Earlier, Punjab also revised its school calendar due to heat concerns. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced extended summer holidays in response to rising temperatures. Moreover, provincial authorities in Punjab instructed schools to adjust timings during heatwave conditions.
Heatwave and Education Impact
High temperatures continue to affect many parts of Pakistan. Therefore, education departments across provinces have adjusted school schedules. The Punjab Disaster Management Authority also advised safety measures for schools during extreme weather.
In Sindh, officials stressed student safety as the main priority. They also ensured that both public and private institutions follow uniform rules. In addition, authorities may revise plans if weather conditions worsen.
With this notification, Sindh schools will close for two months. This step helps balance learning needs with health and safety concerns during intense summer conditions.
