IIUI, Hazara University Sign MoU to Boost Academic Cooperation
The IIUI Hazara University partnership moved forward as both institutions agreed to implement a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding academic cooperation. International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) President Prof Dr Ahmed Saad Al-Ahmad visited Hazara University at the invitation of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf. Officials said the agreement will strengthen collaboration in higher education and encourage knowledge sharing between the two universities. The initiative also aims to promote academic excellence and cultural understanding.
Universities Agree on Faculty Exchange
During the visit, representatives of both universities reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the MoU. The agreement focuses on faculty exchange and the promotion of Arabic language education. As a result, students and teachers from both institutions are expected to benefit from stronger academic collaboration and shared educational opportunities.
Prof Dr Ahmed Saad Al-Ahmad highlighted the close relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He said the two countries share deep religious and cultural ties based on a common faith. Moreover, he stressed the importance of adopting piety and following the teachings and example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He added that educational cooperation can further strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two nations.
Leaders Highlight Pakistan-Saudi Ties
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf welcomed the IIUI president and appreciated the growing partnership between the two universities. He said the collaboration will help improve academic standards and create new opportunities for students and faculty members.
The minister also highlighted the significance of the Shah Abdul Aziz Mosque at Hazara University. He described the mosque as a lasting symbol of the strong and friendly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, he said educational and cultural partnerships play an important role in strengthening bilateral ties. Officials expressed hope that the agreement would encourage future joint research, academic exchanges and language programmes. They also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in areas that benefit students, researchers and the broader academic community.
