LINE Games unveiled an exciting new trailer for Ember and Blade. The company also confirmed the release date for its highly anticipated demo. Players can access the playable build on October 3.
This timing strategically positions the demo ahead of Steam Next Fest. The festival runs from October 13-19. Therefore, Ember and Blade will gain maximum visibility.
A Bold New Project
LINE Games operates as a LINE Yahoo subsidiary from Seoul. The developer established itself in 2012 with extensive gaming experience. Previous titles include roguelike ARPG Next Hero and visual novel Buried Stars.
Ember and Blade represent their most ambitious project yet. The game blends “survivors-like” mechanics with real-time combat. In addition, it features cel-shaded aesthetics and intricate narrative elements.
Comparisons to Hades are inevitable. However, Ember and Blade offers a distinct progression experience. Instead of room-by-room Boon selections, this title features dynamic mob encounters.
Angel “blessings” and mid-run skill combinations enhance gameplay. As a result, players experience unique gameplay loops each time.
Trailer Highlights and Demo Details
The two-minute trailer showcases overwhelming enemy hordes. Players must use strategic combat approaches to survive. The storyline centers on preventing an archdemon’s return.
Halfway through the trailer, viewers see the comprehensive skill tree. Passive abilities like Empyreal Resolve amplify Blessing damage. Active skills such as Flash Counter enable immediate counterattacks after precise dodges.
This demo marks the game’s second public release. The first appeared in July 2025 for a limited time. The October build offers expanded content with Act 2 gameplay.
Several new angel allies join the roster. Players will also encounter an additional boss fight. LINE Games describes it as a “vertical slice” of the full experience.
Ember and Blade targets a 2026 launch window. Steam Early Access launches before 2025 ends. The development team confirmed PC as the primary platform.
Additional platform announcements remain undisclosed. Pricing details also await future reveals.
