A-Level Paper Leak Sparks Outrage in Pakistan Students

The A-Level paper leak has sparked strong reactions across Pakistan. Students who took the Mathematics (9709) exam feel deeply upset. Many believe the system has treated them unfairly. As a result, trust in exam fairness has started to weaken.
Parents and students shared concerns on social media. One parent questioned how such a reputed body could allow this. Similarly, teachers expressed anger and disappointment. They worried about students who worked hard but now feel ignored.

IBCC Takes Immediate Action

The Inter-Board of Coordination Commission (IBCC) responded quickly to the issue. Therefore, it decided to contact Cambridge for an official explanation. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah confirmed that IBCC will seek a detailed report.
He assured families that authorities will protect students’ interests. In addition, he promised transparency in the process. Officials want clear facts before making any decision. However, they also understand the urgency of the matter.

Cambridge Promises Full Investigation

Cambridge acknowledged the reports and promised a thorough investigation. A spokesperson said the team will review all claims carefully. They may also update exam centres during or after the June 2026 series.
This issue reminds many of last year’s controversy. For example, reports claimed that several papers leaked before exams. Authorities formed a committee to investigate those claims. As a result, Cambridge admitted partial leaks in three papers.
Students now demand stronger safeguards and fair treatment. Parents also call for better transparency. Meanwhile, many await the investigation outcome. This decision may shape the future of exams in Pakistan.
