AR Holiday Shopping Arrives With Snapchat’s New Winter Village Experience
Snapchat has introduced a new festive activation called the Winter Village, and it places AR holiday shopping at the center of the experience. The feature runs through December and appears directly in the Lens carousel. It brings a seasonal mix of luxury showcases and creative interactions that feel both fun and immersive.
Snap describes the Winter Village as a blend of easy online browsing and warm in-store energy. As a result, users can move through each branded space with simple swipes and taps. The goal is to help people explore new products while enjoying a visually rich holiday theme.
Luxury brands join the festive Lens
Only three brands take part right now. However, each one brings a distinct look that feels tailored for the season.
Chopard offers a soft, paper-styled boutique filled with elegant watches and jewelry. Shoppers can tap product cards to learn more about each piece. In addition, the experience highlights stories behind the Maison’s signature designs.
Lancôme delivers a glowing fragrance train high above snowy peaks. The pink and gold cabin features scents like Vanille Nude and La Vie Est Belle. Each perfume appears with short notes that explain its creation.
BOSS introduces a warm factory scene with copper walls and moving belts. The Lens focuses on the BOSS x Steiff collection, which mixes bold fashion with the charm of classic teddy bears.
A look ahead
Some users may hope for more brands in future activations. Even so, this release could guide similar seasonal concepts next year. The Winter Village is available throughout December for users in the U.S., France, the U.K., Germany, the Nordics, Benelux and the Middle East.
