Cambridge Math Retake 2026 Confirmed for Pakistan Students
Cambridge International has confirmed the Cambridge Math Retake for students in Pakistan. The replacement AS Level Mathematics 9709/12 paper will take place on June 9, 2026.
The exam board cancelled the original paper after it appeared online before the scheduled exam. Therefore, Cambridge decided not to use the leaked paper for final results. However, the board will release results on August 11 as planned.
Cambridge informed schools and principals about the latest arrangements. In addition, the board confirmed that students will not pay extra fees for the replacement exam. Many students and parents welcomed the decision after days of uncertainty.
Cambridge Announces Refund and Withdrawal Policy
Cambridge also updated its withdrawal policy for affected candidates. Students who cannot appear on June 9 can withdraw from the syllabus until June 17, 2026.
Schools must contact the British Council to complete the process. However, candidates will only receive refunds for standard exam fees. Late entry charges will not be refunded.
The board clarified another important point. Students cannot withdraw from only one component. Instead, they must withdraw from the complete syllabus and register again for the November 2026 session if needed.
Cambridge advised schools to submit withdrawal requests after the examination series ends. As a result, schools will receive further instructions later this month.
Students Get Carry-Forward Relief
Cambridge also introduced relief for A Level students completing studies this year. Candidates who miss the replacement paper can carry forward June 2026 marks to the November 2026 session.
To qualify, students must withdraw officially and register again with the same option code. In addition, Cambridge confirmed that November entry fees will match June fees for affected candidates.
Earlier reports showed the leaked paper circulated in several regions, including Pakistan and the Middle East. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the incident.
