FDE Teacher Training Program Starts in Islamabad
The FDE teacher training program has started in Islamabad to improve digital learning in schools and colleges. The Federal Directorate of Education launched the initiative for teachers from different educational institutions across the capital. The program will focus on Canva, graphic design, video editing, and other digital tools. In addition, officials arranged training sessions during weekly holidays to avoid disrupting regular classes. The first workshops will take place on May 8 and May 9. Around 430 teachers from various sectors will participate in the sessions.
Teachers to Learn Creative Digital Skills
The Federal Directorate of Education designed the workshops to help teachers use modern technology in classrooms. Therefore, participants will receive practical training in graphic design, video editing, and digital content creation. Trainers will guide teachers through Canva and other IT-related software during interactive sessions.
Teachers from Urban, Sihala, Tarnol, Bhara Kahu, and Nilore institutions will join the workshops. As a result, educators from different sectors will gain new technical skills together. Officials believe digital tools can make lessons more engaging and easier for students to understand. Moreover, teachers can use these skills to create presentations, videos, and creative classroom activities.

Workshops Will Continue Until May 15
FDE officials confirmed that the workshops will continue from May 8 to May 15 in different sectors of Islamabad. Each session will run daily from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. However, organizers selected multiple locations to make participation easier for teachers across the city.
Education experts praised the initiative and called it an important step toward digital transformation in schools. Furthermore, officials may expand similar training programs in the future.
