FPSC Postpones Islamabad Interviews Scheduled From July 27 to 31
The FPSC Islamabad interviews scheduled from July 27 to July 31, 2026, have been postponed due to administrative reasons. The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announced the decision in an official public notice issued on July 24. However, the commission confirmed that interviews at all other centers across the country will continue according to the existing schedule.
Several government posts affected
The postponement applies to interviews listed under Interview Program No. 86/2026 at the Islamabad center. The affected recruitment process covers several important government positions. These include Administrative Officer, Senior Elementary Teacher, Works Manager, Lecturer, Senior Instructor, Sub-Divisional Forest Officer, System Analyst, and Senior Teacher.
The vacancies belong to multiple federal departments and institutions. These include the Federal Directorate of Education, Pakistan Mint, Federal Government Educational Institutions, Directorate General of Special Education, Gilgit-Baltistan Forest Department, and the National Library of Pakistan.
The FPSC stated that it delayed the interviews because of administrative reasons. However, the commission did not disclose any further details about the decision. Candidates who were scheduled to appear in Islamabad should wait for fresh instructions before making travel or accommodation arrangements.
Revised schedule will be announced later
The commission clarified that the postponement only affects the Islamabad interview center. Therefore, candidates appearing at other centers should attend their interviews according to the original timetable.
Meanwhile, the FPSC assured applicants that it will announce revised interview dates through its official communication channels. Candidates should regularly visit the commission’s official website and monitor its notifications for the latest updates. In addition, applicants should avoid relying on unofficial reports circulating on social media.
The commission urged candidates to remain patient until the revised schedule is issued. Timely communication will ensure that applicants receive accurate information and have enough time to prepare for their interviews. The FPSC regularly updates candidates through official notices, and applicants are advised to stay connected with those platforms to avoid missing important announcements.
