Hajj Spending Pakistan 2026: 119,000 Pilgrims Spend Rs139 Billion

Hajj spending Pakistan 2026 reached a major milestone this year. Over 119,000 Pakistanis performed Hajj under the government scheme. As a result, total spending crossed Rs139 billion. This large number shows strong public interest in the sacred journey. In addition, it reflects growing financial commitment from pilgrims across the country.

Long vs Short Hajj Packages

Most pilgrims preferred the long Hajj package this year. More than 77,000 people selected this option. Therefore, it made up nearly two thirds of all participants. On the other hand, over 41,000 pilgrims chose the short-duration package. This option suits those with limited time. However, both packages remained popular among different groups.

Women Participation Sees Growth

Female participation showed a positive trend this year. Women made up 43.5% of the total quota. In total, more than 50,000 women performed Hajj through the official scheme. This increase highlights better access and support for women travelers. Moreover, it reflects changing social dynamics in Pakistan.

Economic Impact of Hajj Spending

Hajj spending in Pakistan 2026 had a strong economic impact. The total cost reached Rs139.16 billion. As a result, it contributed significantly to the travel and service sectors. For example, airlines, hotels, and tour operators all benefited. In addition, the government scheme helped manage costs and logistics smoothly.

A Spiritual Journey with Financial Commitment

Hajj remains one of the most important journeys for Muslims. However, it also requires careful financial planning. This year’s figures clearly show that many Pakistanis are willing to invest in this spiritual goal. Looking ahead, demand may continue to grow. Therefore, better planning and affordability will remain key priorities.
