HEC Best University Teacher Award 2026: Apply by October 7
The HEC Best University Teacher Award 2026 nominations are now open for outstanding faculty members across Pakistan. The award will recognise teachers who excel in teaching, innovation, student learning and academic development.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited public and private universities to participate. Each eligible institution can nominate one faculty member through its university-level committee.Universities must submit complete nomination documents by October 7, 2026. They must send the documents to the Director General (Academics), HEC, Islamabad.
Eligibility and Required Documents
Public and private higher education institutions recognised in Pakistan can take part. Universities should nominate teachers who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and academic work.Each institution must prepare a complete nomination dossier for its selected teacher. The dossier must follow the approved HEC award framework.
Universities must also submit the minutes of their university-level committee meeting. These minutes should confirm the committee’s approval of the nomination.Institutions must provide a soft copy of the complete nomination dossier. They should also include all other documents required under the award framework.
Nomination Process
Each eligible university can nominate only one faculty member. Its university-level committee must review candidates before selecting the nominee.
The committee should assess each candidate under the approved HEC framework. Universities must then complete the nomination dossier and supporting documents.
After finalising the nomination, the university should send the complete package to HEC. The submission must reach the office of the Director General (Academics), HEC, Islamabad, before October 7.The award will highlight teachers who make a strong impact on higher education. It will also recognise innovation and meaningful contributions to student development.Universities should therefore begin their internal selection process early. Timely submission will help institutions avoid missing the nomination deadline.
