Karachi Book & EdTech Fair 2026 Attracts Record 200,000 Visitors
The Karachi book fair 2026 attracted a massive crowd as the Karachi International Book and EdTech Fair 2026 brought together books, learning, and technology. The event took place at the Karachi Expo Centre. It welcomed more than 200,000 visitors on its second day. As a result, the fair created a vibrant atmosphere filled with students, families, and book lovers.
Books, Learning, and Innovation
Exhibition halls stayed full throughout the day. In Hall No 2, book stalls saw strong sales worth millions of rupees. Therefore, organizers reported a clear rise in interest in reading across all age groups.
In addition, Hall No 3 combined books with modern EdTech displays. Visitors explored interactive learning tools and digital innovations. However, the main attraction remained “Robothon 3.0,” which drew thousands of students.
According to Robo Sports in-charge Behroze Noorani, around 15,000 students joined the robotics competition. Many participants built robots for the first time. He said students enjoyed learning through hands-on experience. As a result, the event helped boost interest in science and technology.
Awards and Recognition
The KBITF Awards ceremony highlighted the final part of the day. Sindh’s Minister for Information Technology, Ali Rashed, presented awards to leading contributors in education and publishing.
Lifetime Achievement awards went to Aziz Khalid of Urdu Academy Sindh and Ameena Saiyid of Lightstone Publishing. In addition, organizers praised their long service in promoting literature and knowledge.
Overall, the event strengthened Karachi’s role as a growing hub for books, education, and innovation.
