Karachi Eid Cleanliness Drive Targets Offal Dumping

Karachi authorities have started an Eid Cleanliness Drive to control the dumping of sacrificial animal waste during Eid ul Adha. Officials warned that they will take strict action against people who throw or tear apart offal on roads and in open spaces. Moreover, the city administration wants to improve sanitation and protect public health during the religious festival.
The decision came during a meeting held at the Commissioner Office in Karachi. Officials reviewed arrangements for the collection and disposal of animal remains across the city. In addition, the Karachi commissioner directed all departments to stay fully prepared during Eid holidays. Authorities also stressed the need for quick waste removal to prevent unpleasant conditions in residential areas.

Authorities Increase Monitoring

The Karachi administration will form vigilance committees in every district under assistant commissioners. These committees will monitor cleanliness operations and ensure proper collection of sacrificial waste. Therefore, officials expect faster responses to sanitation complaints during Eid days.
Authorities also decided to strengthen enforcement against illegal dumping of animal remains. Officials warned that serious violations could result in FIR registration. Furthermore, sanitation teams will closely monitor roads, streets, and public spaces to stop careless disposal practices.
The commissioner instructed municipal staff to remain active throughout the festival. As a result, authorities aim to maintain cleaner neighbourhoods and reduce health risks caused by waste accumulation. Officials also urged citizens to cooperate with sanitation workers and follow disposal guidelines responsibly.

Citizens Can Report Complaints

Residents can report sanitation complaints through Commissioner Karachi Rescue 1299 during Eid ul Adha. The helpline will allow citizens to report uncollected waste and cleanliness problems. In addition, officials encouraged residents to contact authorities immediately if waste remains unattended in their areas.
The city administration believes public cooperation will help improve sanitation standards across Karachi. Officials also hope the Eid Cleanliness Drive will create a cleaner and safer environment for everyone during the festival celebrations.
