Security Forces Foil Terrorist Attack
According to the ISPR, militants attacked the Rangers camp by detonating an explosion at the main gate. They then attempted to breach the camp’s perimeter. However, Rangers personnel responded immediately and stopped the attackers before they could enter the facility. Security forces killed three militants during the operation. They also arrested one injured suspect alive. The military described the attackers as members of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and linked the group to an Indian proxy. Meanwhile, sanitisation operations continue to ensure the area remains secure.
During the fierce exchange of fire, three Rangers personnel sacrificed their lives while defending the camp. Four others suffered injuries and received medical treatment. The military reaffirmed its commitment to continue counter-terrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign.
