KP Domicile Reforms: Government Launches Faster Digital Verification System

KP Domicile Reforms will transform how citizens obtain domicile certificates across the province. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a new digital system that connects domicile services with the Dastak mobile application and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system. The initiative aims to speed up verification, improve transparency, and make the process easier for citizens. As a result, applicants can expect quicker and more efficient services.

Digital Integration to Improve Verification

The provincial government introduced the reforms under a business process re-engineering model. Officials believe the integration of domicile software with the Dastak app and NADRA CRVS database will simplify verification procedures. Therefore, authorities expect a significant reduction in processing times and administrative delays.
Under the new system, officials will process domicile applications verified through NADRA within one day. Applicants whose residential addresses have remained unchanged for up to three years will also benefit from a fast-track process. In addition, the digital platform will reduce paperwork and improve record accuracy.
The government expects the reforms to strengthen public trust in service delivery. Furthermore, automated verification will help minimize errors and improve efficiency. Authorities say the new mechanism will provide a smoother experience for applicants across the province.

Citizens to Benefit from Faster Services

The revised policy introduces specific timelines for applications involving address changes. Officials will verify cases with address changes made within one to three years in three days. However, district committees will review applications with recent address changes and process them within ten days.
Citizens can also complete biometric verification through the NADRA Pak ID mobile application. Alternatively, they can visit E-Sahulat centres for verification services. This flexibility will make the process more accessible for people in both urban and rural areas.
Officials said the reforms aim to eliminate unnecessary delays while maintaining strict verification standards. Moreover, the system will improve transparency and accountability throughout the application process.
