Lahore High Court Launches JIMS to Digitise Judicial Infrastructure Across Punjab

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has launched a new Judicial Infrastructure System to modernise court administration and improve transparency across Punjab. The digital platform, called the Punjab Judicial Infrastructure Management System (JIMS), marks a major step towards technology-driven governance in the judicial sector. As a result, authorities expect faster planning, better monitoring and more efficient use of resources.
LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum launched the initiative to strengthen oversight of judicial infrastructure throughout the province. The platform will provide centralized information about judicial complexes and facilities available to judges, lawyers and litigants. Moreover, it will allow stakeholders to access important data through a single digital system.

Digital Platform to Improve Court Administration

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Chief Justice Aalia Neelum described the Judicial Infrastructure System as a significant milestone for the justice sector. She said the platform would help make the justice delivery process faster, more transparent and aligned with modern technological standards.
According to the chief justice, technology and data-driven decision-making can transform judicial administration. Therefore, the new system will support better planning and monitoring of infrastructure projects across Punjab. It will also help authorities allocate resources more effectively.
She emphasized that efficient management of judicial facilities would ultimately benefit litigants. In addition, the platform will support timely access to justice by improving court infrastructure and services.

Real-Time Monitoring and Better Planning

During the briefing, the Additional Registrar (IT) explained that JIMS integrates judicial complexes, residential facilities for judicial officers and construction projects into a unified digital network. As a result, officials can monitor development projects and infrastructure conditions in real time.
The system includes an advanced dashboard that provides updated information on court buildings and ongoing projects. Furthermore, it allows authorities to assess needs quickly and make evidence-based decisions.
Officials believe the Judicial Infrastructure System will increase transparency and reduce resource wastage. It will also strengthen institutional efficiency and improve service delivery across Punjab. Consequently, the initiative is expected to play a key role in the future development and modernization of judicial infrastructure throughout the province.
