Meccha Chameleon Surpasses 15 Million Sales, Teases Surprise Collaboration

Meccha Chameleon continues its incredible success story, with developer lemorion_1224 announcing that the indie multiplayer hit has officially sold more than 15 million copies in less than a month. To celebrate the milestone, the studio also teased an upcoming collaboration with a “famous Japanese star,” sparking widespread speculation across the gaming community. The announcement was shared through a Steam Community post, where the developers thanked players for their overwhelming support and hinted that more details about the mystery collaboration will be revealed next week. While the identity of the featured guest remains unknown, fans have already begun sharing predictions about who could appear in the game.

Meccha Chameleon Reaches Another Major Milestone

Few indie games have experienced the rapid success of Meccha Chameleon. Developed by a two-person team, the chaotic multiplayer title quickly became one of 2026’s biggest breakout hits thanks to its humorous gameplay, simple mechanics, and entertaining co-op experience. Despite its intentionally janky style, the game has earned widespread praise from both players and critics. It currently boasts thousands of positive user reviews on Steam, with many highlighting its fun gameplay and affordable price. Its success has also drawn attention to the small development team, proving that indie games can still compete with major AAA releases.

Mystery Collaboration Sparks Fan Speculation

Alongside the sales announcement, the developers revealed that Meccha Chameleon will receive a collaboration with a “famous Japanese star” next week. Although no official details have been shared, fans are already guessing who the mystery guest could be. One of the most popular predictions is virtual pop icon Hatsune Miku, who has previously appeared in collaborations with franchises such as Fortnite, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Magic: The Gathering. However, the developers have not confirmed any names, leaving the community eagerly waiting for the official reveal. With over 15 million copies sold in just a few weeks, Meccha Chameleon has become one of the year’s biggest indie success stories. Between its explosive sales, growing player base, and upcoming collaboration, the game continues to build momentum and shows no signs of slowing down.
