Millionaire Domestic Worker in Karachi Arrested for Massive Theft in DHA

A millionaire domestic worker in Karachi’s DHA shocked residents after police arrested him for stealing valuables worth millions. Officers identified the suspect as Wajid Ali, who had worked for his employer for eight years. The case has raised concerns about household security in upscale areas.

Confession and Recovery

Police arrested Wajid after a woman homeowner reported missing gold and cash. During questioning, he confessed to stealing money, gold, and foreign currency from the house. He admitted to using ATM cards and cheque books to transfer large sums over time.
As a result, police recovered two gold biscuits of five tolas each, two biscuits of two tolas, and seven biscuits of one tola. They also seized Rs227,000 in cash from locations Wajid revealed. In addition, investigators found that he had used stolen money to buy vehicles and property.

Investigation Underway

Authorities handed the suspect to the Investigation Police for further inquiry. Officers are now checking his bank accounts and assets. They aim to uncover the full amount he stole.
This incident highlights the importance of verifying household staff and monitoring valuables. Many residents in Karachi’s elite areas now plan to strengthen security measures. Therefore, this case serves as a reminder that trust must come with caution.
