Ninja Gaiden 4: The Two Masters DLC Arrives Early 2026
Ryu and Yakumo will each receive new weapons with “distinct qualities” and a “plethora of mechanics” for players to master.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is almost here, promising between 15 and 20 hours of intense story-driven gameplay, packed with challenge missions, the returning Master Ninja difficulty, and plenty of combat depth. Yet, the adventure won’t stop there. Team Ninja and PlatinumGames have already confirmed that the game will expand with a major post-launch DLC, The Two Masters, arriving shortly after release.
Launching in Early 2026
In a recent interview on the Official Xbox Podcast, PlatinumGames producer/director Yuji Nakao and Team Ninja director Masazaku Hirayama revealed that The Two Masters DLC is set to launch in early 2026. It introduces powerful new weapons for both Ryu Hayabusa and Yakumo. Ryu will gain dual pincer-like gauntlets designed for rapid, close-quarters combat, while Yakumo will wield a massive scythe that emphasizes reach and sweeping power. According to the developers, both weapons bring “distinct qualities” and a “plethora of mechanics” for players to explore, offering new ways to master the game’s fast-paced battles.
Expanded Story and Post-Game Challenges
Beyond new weapons, The Two Masters will deliver an extended narrative set after the main story. Players will experience this new chapter from both Ryu and Yakumo’s perspectives, deepening the connection between their journeys. Furthermore, the DLC will feature tough post-game missions separate from the base campaign, adding long-term replayability and rewarding players who’ve perfected their skills.
Deluxe Edition and Release Details
Hirayama added that the team is eager to share more updates soon, noting, “There’s a lot of content for players to dig into.” The Two Masters DLC comes included with the Deluxe Edition of Ninja Gaiden 4, priced at $89.99, featuring exclusive digital bonuses. Ninja Gaiden 4 releases October 21, 2025, on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and will be available day one on Game Pass.
