Omar Abdullah Reaffirms Commitment to Education at Sainik School Manasbal

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah attended the Annual Day Function of Sainik School Manasbal on Tuesday, where he reaffirmed his government’s dedication to improving the quality of education and upgrading modern infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.

Extending warm greetings to teachers, students, and guests, the Chief Minister said he was delighted to revisit the prestigious institution. He praised Sainik School Manasbal for its strong academic culture, discipline, and record of excellence, noting that the school has produced many accomplished alumni serving in the Army, Police, and civil services.

Focus on Infrastructure and Modern Learning

As the Chairman of the school’s Governing Body, Omar Abdullah stressed the need for world-class educational facilities to help students compete globally.
“Our goal is to ensure that institutions like Sainik School Manasbal offer the best possible learning environment,” he said.

He also announced plans to modernize the school’s sports ground, which will soon include a synthetic turf for football and athletics. The Chief Minister promised continued government support for all ongoing and future development projects.

Appreciation for Teachers and Students

Omar Abdullah commended the school’s teachers and students for their dedication, calling the institution a model of discipline and holistic education.
“Here, learning extends beyond classrooms builds confidence, values, and character,” he remarked.

Sakina Itoo Emphasizes Education’s Transformative Power

Education Minister Sakina Itoo also spoke on the occasion, highlighting the transformative power of education and honoring the school’s founder, Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah. She urged collective efforts to make quality education accessible to all, aligning with the government’s broader education vision.

Showcasing Student Talent and Creativity

Concluding the event, the Chief Minister reviewed a cultural program and inaugurated an art and science exhibition that showcased the students’ creativity, innovation, and talent.

With the government’s renewed focus on educational excellence and infrastructure development, Sainik School Manasbal continues to stand as a beacon of discipline, leadership, and learning in Jammu and Kashmir.
