Once Human Launches on PS5 and Xbox Series on August 25
Starry Studio has officially confirmed that Once Human will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 25, 2026. The free-to-play open-world survival game has already attracted millions of players on PC and mobile, and console gamers will soon get the chance to explore its supernatural post-apocalyptic world. Alongside the launch announcement, Starry Studio has also opened pre-orders for an optional Starter Pack, giving players exclusive cosmetic rewards and bonus content before release.
Once Human Brings Open-World Survival to Consoles
Once Human drops players into the dangerous world of Nalcott, where an alien substance known as Stardust has transformed the planet into a hostile wasteland. Players become powerful Meta-Humans who can harness Stardust instead of falling victim to it. As a result, they must explore a massive 256 km² open world filled with frozen mountains, deserts, volcanoes, rivers, swamps, and abandoned settlements.
Throughout the adventure, players gather resources, craft equipment, build shelters, and battle terrifying Deviants that threaten humanity’s survival. In addition, players can team up with friends to explore dangerous locations, defeat powerful enemies, and compete for valuable resources across the world.
Starter Pack Offers Exclusive Rewards
Although Once Human remains completely free to play, players can pre-order the optional Starter Pack for $9.99 before launch. The bundle includes a 30-day Meta Pass, 300 Crystgin, exclusive PlayStation or Xbox namecards, a themed namecard background, the Black Gold Butterfly Cradle Skin, the Lively Blue Wish Machine Skin, and three Midnight Rave weapon skins. These cosmetic items allow players to personalise their experience without affecting gameplay progression. Meanwhile, the PC version will also launch on the Microsoft Store alongside the console release, expanding access to even more players.
