Cadet Earns Top Foreign Honor
Cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas received the “overall best foreign military cadet” award. He trained at the Royal Military College Duntroon in Canberra. The academy held its passing out parade with a full ceremony. He belongs to the Pakistan Military Academy 152 Long Course. Officials praised his performance in all training areas. As a result, he ranked first among international cadets.
Senior officials attended the ceremony and reviewed the parade. Simon Stuart led the review as chief guest. In addition, diplomats and families joined the event. This award shows the professionalism of Pakistan Army cadets. It also reflects their discipline and commitment. Therefore, the achievement holds strong national importance.
Strong Military Ties and Legacy
Pakistan and Australia share long-standing military cooperation. For example, several Pakistani officers have served as platoon commanders at the academy. In addition, many cadets have trained there over the years. Since 2009, 46 Pakistani cadets have graduated from the institution. Moreover, seven officers have served in leadership roles since 2013. These exchanges strengthen ties between both nations.
This marks the 14th time a Pakistan Army cadet has won this award. Therefore, it highlights consistent excellence. Each success builds a strong global reputation.
Officials also remembered Nasir Hussain Khalid Selhria, a past recipient. He was martyred in 2020, but his name remains on the memorial. As a result, his legacy continues to inspire future cadets.
