PEF Uncovers Duplicate Student Admissions in Punjab Partner Schools

Thousands of cases of Duplicate Student Admissions have emerged in schools affiliated with the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF). The discovery has prompted authorities to launch a review of enrollment records across partner institutions. As a result, PEF has directed schools to correct their data and verify student admissions.
Officials suspect that some schools may have used duplicate enrollments to claim additional funds from the government. According to reports, certain students appeared multiple times in official records. Therefore, authorities have started examining enrollment details to determine the scale of the issue.

PEF Orders Immediate Record Verification

Punjab Education Foundation took immediate notice after identifying irregularities in student admissions data. The organization instructed all licensed partner schools to review and update their records. In addition, schools must submit affidavits confirming the accuracy of their enrollment information.
PEF directed institutions to submit affidavits on stamp paper worth Rs300. Officials also set June 22 as the final deadline for compliance. Consequently, schools now face pressure to complete the verification process within a limited timeframe.
Authorities believe the exercise will improve transparency in the education system. Moreover, it will help ensure that public funds are distributed fairly and reach eligible students. Accurate records will also strengthen monitoring and accountability mechanisms.
School administrations have started reviewing admissions data to identify and remove duplicate entries. Meanwhile, PEF officials continue to monitor compliance and provide guidance where needed.

Schools Face Penalties for Violations

Officials warned that schools could face strict action if they fail to correct their records. According to PEF, institutions found responsible for Duplicate Student Admissions after the deadline may receive heavy fines. Furthermore, authorities may suspend or cancel their licences.
The foundation plans to conduct further checks after receiving affidavits from schools. Officials say the process will help identify violations and prevent misuse of government resources.
The latest development highlights the importance of maintaining accurate enrollment records. As a result, PEF aims to strengthen public trust, improve accountability and ensure transparency in education funding across Punjab.
