The MQM budget proposals included recommendations related to Karachi’s infrastructure, development priorities, and issues affecting residents of Sindh. In addition, the prime minister appreciated MQM’s support for government initiatives and described the party as an important coalition partner. Senior government officials and MQM leaders also exchanged views on the country’s current political situation during the meeting.
The MQM delegation included Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, Syed Aminul Haque, and Javed Hanif. During the discussion, MQM leaders presented suggestions for the upcoming federal budget and emphasized the need for more development projects in Karachi. They also highlighted several public welfare concerns linked to urban infrastructure and civic facilities in Sindh.

Government Reviews MQM Recommendations

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed relevant authorities to review the proposals submitted by MQM. He instructed officials to prepare a practical and comprehensive implementation plan for the recommendations. Furthermore, the prime minister stressed the importance of addressing public issues through coordinated efforts between coalition partners.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also attended the meeting alongside Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah. Officials discussed ongoing development priorities and possible measures to improve infrastructure and public services in Karachi. As a result, the meeting reflected continued engagement between the government and its coalition allies before the federal budget announcement.
