Ubisoft has launched Rainbow Six Siege X’s latest seasonal update, Operation High Stakes, across all platforms on September 2, 2025. Now in its tenth year, the tactical shooter continues to expand its roster, gameplay mechanics, and maps, maintaining a strong presence among competitive multiplayer titles.
The update introduces Denari, a new Defender operator equipped with the T.R.I.P. Connector ability — deployable lasers that damage enemies upon detection. Alongside Denari, the Dual Front mode receives the new “Keres Safe Room” mission, requiring teams to complete data extraction inside a fortified server room.
Several iconic maps, including Consulate, Lair, and Nighthaven, have also been overhauled with destructible elements and improved textures, lighting, and materials. Operator loadouts were adjusted as well: Blackbeard received a significant nerf, while others like Wamai gained new secondary weapons.
Ubisoft’s patch notes detailed dozens of fixes, addressing gameplay glitches, operator bugs, AI pathing issues, and visual inconsistencies across multiple maps. Despite its age, Rainbow Six Siege X remains popular, with player counts still surpassing 140,000 on Steam earlier this year following its anniversary update.
Operation High Stakes continues Ubisoft’s strategy of long-term support, reinforcing the game’s competitive edge while setting the stage for future seasons in the franchise.
