Retrace the Light Launches November 20 with Time Manipulation Gameplay

Time manipulation action adventure game Retrace the Light arrives on PC November 20. The game will launch on Steam and Epic Games Store for $17.99, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions following later. Developed by Xiaming Game and published by GlintForge, the title explores psychological themes through innovative time-bending mechanics.
Set in the year 3323, players control Enforcer Decem, a warrior who enters digital recreations of paranoid minds called Mirrormazes. After a failed mission erases his memories, Decem must retrieve scattered memory fragments across a futuristic utopia. The narrative explores dark secrets behind a seemingly perfect world maintained by an AI called Primus.

Innovative Time Manipulation Mechanics

The core gameplay revolves around Decem’s Spatial Retrace ability, which stops time and allows instant teleportation to any point along his light trail. This mechanic enables surprise attacks from unexpected angles and solves environmental puzzles where time and space block progression. Players dash and slash through mechanized foes representing mental anguish.
Combat customization offers seven Primary Combat Modules and twenty Secondary Modules. This system allows players to create personalized fighting styles combining light and heavy strikes, charge attacks, counters, and stances. The game features multiple difficulty settings catering to both action veterans and newcomers.

Multiple Endings and Global Accessibility

Retrace the Light features five different endings based on player choices throughout the story. The game supports English and Chinese voice-overs with text localization in six languages. Players explore visually diverse environments from crumbling ruins to bustling cities while encountering other Enforcers and learning about their missions.
The $17.99 price point positions the game as a mid-tier indie title with AAA production values. The November 20 PC launch precedes console releases, giving PC gamers early access to what promises to be a unique blend of psychological storytelling and innovative action mechanics.
