Sindh Launches Emergency Drive to Prevent Dengue and Malaria

The Sindh government has launched an emergency campaign to control dengue and malaria. The health department aims to protect communities through fogging, awareness sessions, and swift preventive action.
Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho said the campaign will reach all districts. She emphasized that prevention is the best defense against both diseases. According to her, timely awareness and quick response can save many lives.

Fogging and Awareness Efforts Intensified

Teams are actively spraying anti-mosquito fog in residential areas, schools, and public spaces. They are also holding community awareness sessions to educate people about keeping their surroundings clean. As a result, residents are learning how to stop mosquitoes from breeding in stagnant water.
Officials urged citizens to cover water containers, use mosquito nets, and apply repellents. In addition, health workers are visiting homes to distribute informational leaflets and encourage participation in the drive.
The campaign will continue until the risk of outbreaks decreases. Authorities believe that teamwork between government and citizens can stop the spread of dengue and malaria. However, they also warn that ignoring preventive measures can undo all progress.
In the coming days, more awareness programs will be organized in both urban and rural areas. Therefore, everyone is encouraged to stay alert and support this vital health initiative.
