Sindh Schools Reopen After Summer Vacation as New Academic Session Begins
Sindh schools reopen after a two-month summer vacation, marking the beginning of the new academic session across the province. Government and private schools and colleges welcomed students back on Saturday. However, attendance remained low in many public schools. In addition, several private schools in Karachi postponed regular classes until August 4.
Students who returned to school arrived early with their parents or by school vans. They happily reunited with classmates and teachers after the long break. As a result, schools welcomed the new session with a positive and energetic atmosphere despite the smaller turnout.
Students Return as New Timings Take Effect
The Sindh schools reopen schedule also introduced new academic timings from August 1. Moreover, the Sindh Education Department restored the six-day school week for educational institutions across the province.
Teachers welcomed students and encouraged them to begin the new session with confidence. At the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, University Campus, staff members greeted students and organized interactive classroom activities. These sessions helped students adjust smoothly after the holidays.
Many students submitted their summer vacation assignments on the first day. They also shared stories about their holidays and expressed excitement about meeting friends again. Meanwhile, teachers focused on motivational activities instead of regular lessons to ease students back into classroom routines.
Private Schools Resume Classes on August 4
Several private schools in Karachi delayed the start of regular classes until Monday, August 4. Therefore, many campuses remained quiet on Saturday even though the academic session had officially begun.
School administrations reminded parents and students about attendance through WhatsApp and email. They urged families to ensure students attend classes regularly from the following week.
The Sindh Education Department had announced summer vacations from June 1 to July 31. With the holidays now over, educational institutions have resumed academic activities across the province.
The reopening marks the start of another important school year. Education officials hope attendance will improve in the coming days as more students return to classrooms and learning continues without disruption.
