Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s 208th Birth Anniversary Celebrated with Pride in Attock
ATTOCK, Oct 17 (APP): The 208th birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the visionary educationist and reformer, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Sir Syed Education Foundation Hassanabdal on Friday.
The event paid rich tribute to the founder of the Aligarh Movement, highlighting his tireless efforts to promote modern education among Muslims in the subcontinent.
Honouring a Legacy of Knowledge and Reform
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat, followed by speeches and presentations from students. They showcased Sir Syed’s intellectual and educational contributions that sparked awareness, unity, and progress through learning.
Chief guest Advocate Zulfiqar Hayat praised Sir Syed’s monumental role in transforming education.
“Sir Syed opened the doors of knowledge for Muslims and laid the foundation of modern education, inspiring generations,” he said.
Inspiring Students to Continue His Mission
Educationist Tahir Mehmood Durrani encouraged students to follow Sir Syed’s example of perseverance and curiosity.
“Education is the key that opens all doors to success,” he said, urging youth to gain knowledge and serve their nation with dedication.

The ceremony ended with a special prayer for the advancement of education in Pakistan.
