Spotify Wrapped 2025 Sees Record Growth in First 24 Hours

Spotify Wrapped saw massive traction this year. Spotify confirmed that Wrapped 2025 drew over 200 million engaged users on its first day. This marks a 19% jump from the previous year. Wrapped also reached this level much faster. Last year, it took the platform 62 hours to hit the same milestone. This shows clear Spotify Wrapped growth and renewed user interest.
Engaged users are defined as those who opened at least one Wrapped story. Sharing also surged. Wrapped content was shared more than 500 million times across apps and social screenshots. This is 41% more than last year. Spotify pointed to markets like the U.S., India, Indonesia, Japan, Colombia, and Thailand as large drivers of early traffic.

New Features Win Users Back

Wrapped faced criticism last year. Many users disliked the limited stats and the focus on an AI podcast. Spotify responded with deeper insights and nearly a dozen new features. These tools offered more meaningful stories and removed the need for a visible AI layer.
This version leaned heavily on connection. Users could compare their listening age, identify their Wrapped group, and explore new social layers.

Wrapped Party Adds Real-Time Stats

Spotify also offered its first live multiplayer activity. Wrapped Party let users compare stats with friends in real time. It helped boost engagement and made Wrapped feel more interactive.
Spotify’s moves paid off. Strong global momentum and improved features set up Wrapped for a stronger season. The company now sees clear evidence of sustained Spotify Wrapped growth.
