Punjab Cracks Down on Schools Violating Summer Vacation Orders
Authorities in Punjab have launched a Punjab school crackdown against private institutions violating summer vacation orders. Officials sealed several schools in Changa Manga after they continued classes despite government instructions. In addition, district authorities warned that strict action would continue against schools ignoring the holiday schedule.
According to reports, teams acted on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Kasur and raided schools that remained open during the summer break. Officials said the operation aimed to protect students and staff from extreme heat and ongoing heatwave conditions across the province.
Schools Sealed During Changa Manga Operation
Earlier, Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that summer vacations for schools across Punjab would begin on May 22 and continue until August 23. The provincial government introduced the extended holidays due to rising temperatures and public safety concerns.
During the crackdown in Changa Manga, authorities sealed several private schools for violating the official orders. These included Leeds School, Sindhu Model School, Quaid-e-Azam Public School, and Hazara Public School.
Furthermore, officials inspected other educational institutions in the area to ensure compliance with government directives. Authorities said they would continue monitoring schools throughout the vacation period.
Government Warns More Action Ahead
The district administration stated that protecting students during extreme weather remains a top priority. Therefore, officials urged all private schools to follow the summer vacation schedule without exception.
Authorities also warned school managements against reopening classes during the holidays. As a result, schools violating the orders could face sealing, fines, or further legal action in the coming weeks.
