Balochistan Mobile Education Expands Access with Book and Science Vans

The government has launched Balochistan mobile education initiatives to bring learning to remote communities. These include “Kitab Gaari” and “Science Ki Sawari” vans. Students can now access books and science activities near their homes. As a result, many children can continue their education without traveling long distances.

Book and Science Vans in Action

The “Kitab Gaari” project operates in 14 districts across Balochistan. These areas include Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Loralai, and Quetta. In addition, the service reaches Gwadar, Hub, and several other districts.
Initially, the vans worked as mobile schools for children. However, they now function as libraries and teaching centres. Therefore, students can read books, attend lessons, and explore new ideas. This setup creates a flexible learning space for diverse communities.
Meanwhile, “Science Ki Sawari” runs in Jaffarabad district. The van focuses on hands-on science learning for students. For example, children perform simple experiments and observe results directly. This method helps them understand concepts better and builds curiosity.

Impact and Government Support

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has praised the initiative for its impact. He described it as a positive step for the province’s education system. Moreover, he emphasized its role in reaching underserved areas.
