GCU Intermediate Admissions 2026: Apply for 3,000 Seats
Government College University has announced GCU intermediate admissions for 3,000 seats this year. Students can apply online until April 30 without submitting hard copies. Moreover, the university will select candidates based only on 9th class BISE results. As a result, applicants will not need to take any entrance test.
Programs and Seat Distribution
The university offers several study options for students. These include pre-medical, pre-engineering, and ICS programs. In addition, students can choose general science, commerce, humanities, and computer science. Classes will run in both morning and afternoon shifts at the main campus.
However, applicants should submit only one form. The university will release separate merit lists for each shift. Therefore, students do not need to apply twice.
The Kala Shah Kaku campus adds 300 more seats for students. This step helps candidates from nearby districts access education easily. In addition, the university will provide a free daily shuttle service between campuses.
Merit Policy and Special Quotas
The university follows a clear and fair admission policy. Officials will prepare merit lists based on 9th class results only. This approach ensures transparency and equal opportunity for all applicants.
In addition, GCU offers reserved seats for talented students. For example, athletes and those skilled in public speaking, acting, and singing can apply. Students involved in Rover Scouts, Qiraat, and Naat can also benefit from these quotas.
Trials for sports and co-curricular categories will start on May 11. Therefore, students should prepare in advance. University officials encourage everyone to apply early and complete the process on time.
