Karachi HIV Case: Sindh High Court Seeks Report on Children’s Infection
The Karachi HIV Case has reached the Sindh High Court after parents of affected children filed a petition. They want answers about how several children reportedly contracted HIV during medical treatment at a government hospital.
According to the petition, the children received treatment at a public hospital in Karachi. The parents claim the hospital used contaminated IV drips, which may have exposed the children to HIV. They have asked the court to investigate the matter and ensure accountability.
Court Orders Government to Submit Report
During the hearing, the Sindh High Court directed the provincial government to present a detailed report. The court wants clear information about the allegations and the steps taken so far.
Justice Adnan Karim remarked that the court cannot act without proper evidence. Therefore, he instructed the authorities to complete their investigation and submit their findings. As a result, the judges will review the official report before making any decision.
In addition, the court asked all concerned departments to cooperate fully. Officials must explain the hospital’s safety procedures and clarify whether any negligence occurred.
Parents Seek Justice
The parents say they only want the truth. They believe their children deserve justice and proper medical care. Moreover, they expect authorities to improve hospital safety to prevent similar incidents.
However, the government has not yet confirmed the allegations. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials will present their response during the next hearing.
The Sindh High Court has adjourned the case until July 20. Both the government and the petitioners must submit their replies before that date. The court will then examine the evidence and decide the next course of action.
The Karachi HIV Case has raised serious concerns about patient safety in public hospitals. Many families now hope the investigation will provide clear answers and strengthen healthcare standards across Sindh.
