New Muslimabad Girls School Reopens in Quetta with Better Facilities and Renewed Hope
Quetta, October 25 — The New Muslimabad Girls School on Sariab Road has started a new chapter in a brand-new building. This major step came thanks to the personal efforts and special interest of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mehrullah Badini.
Established in 1987, the school had long operated in a rented house under difficult conditions. Years of financial and administrative problems had pushed it close to closure. However, after the school’s request for better premises, DC Badini directed the construction of new classrooms on the rooftop of a nearby boys’ school building.
A Safer and Stronger Learning Space
Within months, new classrooms and standard washrooms were completed. Today, hundreds of girls attend classes in a safer and more comfortable environment. Teachers shared that thefts were common in the old building, but security and facilities have now improved significantly.
In addition, the school now provides free midday meals to encourage learning and improve students’ health. This small change has boosted attendance and made the school a happier place for young learners.
A Model for Educational Progress
The district administration praised the initiative as a model for promoting girls’ education in Balochistan. DC Badini reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure and access to education across Quetta.
He emphasized that every child deserves the chance to learn in a safe and supportive environment. With renewed hope and modern facilities, the New Muslimabad Girls School now stands as a beacon of progress for the community.
